BICAPP Research Areas
The infrastructures of the BICAPP research center allow research on the relationship between human behavior and mobile/wearable technology for the improvement of people's quality of life and for the development of more usable and intuitive technologies.
The BICAPP aims to encourage the study and consideration of human factors in designing new technologies, with particular reference to multimedia devices available on the market (smartphones, I-Pads, etc.) in which psychological, neuroscientific and psycholinguistic knowledge comes into play in a relevant way in explaining different aspects of human behavior (e.g., decisions, healthy choices, the so-called healthy aging, consumer behavior and attitudes towards ecological issues).
The infrastructures of the centers allow business oriented experimental research on user experience, marketing, design, health, and behavioral modification. We can collect users’ responses by means of physiological variables, questionnaires, interviews, behavioral measures (reaction times, eye tracking) and direct observation. All the methods adopted are scientifically grounded on up-to-date theories on human behavior.
